Bridge's hill paragliding

Almost at the end of the season (Autumn is here!), Bridge's hill is facing SE, so, is not ideal for this season (and winter). It was a nice surprise to find out that "Bridges" was, for the day, the right choice! Note: "Down under", the slopes exposed to the sun are facing...NORTH!

No need to climb Mont Blanc. One can land on its top these days☝️
Nic and thanks mate.
👍
awesome
Great video and choice of music mate! Awesome 😎👍
Which paragliding company that you bought this from?
It's a Sky paragliders (CZ) Apollo2 (EN "B"). If you "google it", I'm sure you can find a local dealer
Unbelievable. Amazing, looks so fake lol but man its crazy to see. Cant imagine the feeling of real Freedom is up there like that. 👏😍
So on a long day you start on North-East slopes then North slopes and finishing with West slopes like we do ;-) Or did I miss something ?
😉 Exactly!
Ma che bel reportage.
Fantastic mate🙂
Beautiful forest
favorite.
Too many people flying there in first half of vid, accident looking for somewhere to happen there. second half was more enjoyable, thanks for shareing 👌
Thats pretty nice😀 I'd like to do such videos on my own😅
Best Savandurga video ever.
WOW, Awesome !!!!!!!!!!
Awesome
Omg u did this 8 years ago... I frm karnataka state, Gr8 job👌

Come once more time .....

Bro u luk like professional paraglider y dont u make proper video n upload trust me u get more recognition
Wonderful! Congrats! How long time from take off at 2000 moh to landing in Chamonix? Regards, Lars
Hi Lars. "Direct flight" won't take much...10-15 minutes (?). There are two landings (one a bit closer to the cable car), but use the other one ;-) (official).
@@micinvit thanks, and the duration of the whole trip?
@@larssol1 You mean from takeoff to landing in Chamonix? Around 3,5 - 4hours (including the top landing and an initial "mistake" in the first attempt, that forced me to go back and regain altitude over Chamonix).
@@micinvit yes, exactly, thanks, what an adventure it must have been! I understand that toplanding is now forbidden :(
Nice, no so crowded over there ;-)
No! :-)
Top job
Aww sir it's u visited a famous hill of our district
The way u mingled with those localities is superb Sir do more videos in Bangalore 😊😊👌👌
Awesome video, editing & sound - matched Michael's driving. Thank you Michele!
Thank YOU, Roger 😁!
Is it allways so crowded?
No :-) That was an exceptional day (as weather conditions). Unfortunatelly, after that (and because of that), top landing has been banned :-(
Bellissima fin da piccola..eccola qui ora nella foto mio profilo..
How long have you been paragliding for?
Around 500 h. Some pilots can become very good in short time (flying a lot around the year). I'm not one of those. Is not a question of years, but a question of hours in the air. I was lucky, that day: Right place, right time and exeptional conditions.
How can you go up ?
You have to search for "rising air mass", much like a leaf is lift by wind or/and warmer air that rise. That "rising warm air" is the cause for clouds to form. If is strong (and big) enough, you can fly inside of this "thermal" (that's what is called) and get higher. Even if there are no clouds, it doesn't mean that there are no thermals (in this case, they're called "blu Thermals"). Google it ;-)
Paramotor ? Or normal paragliding ?
No motor. Just a normal paraglider (you can see, in the video, that all others were normal paragliders)
That fucking awful shite music😭
Would you do that again in trainers?? Also lucky to not hit the pair walking up on take off.
It was a crazy day... I think I saw you !!
Great video :)
Nice Video Sub and 👍
You were also lucky enough of not being the one who died on that day, failing his takeoff. Since that day, landing up there has being forbidden, because of this death. I think that "tonight's gonna be a good night" was not really what his family sang on that day. Sorry but even if the video is great, I have to put a thumb down. If you understand french (and if you don't, use google translate : france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/auvergne-rhone-alpes/haute-savoie/chamonix/haute-savoie-apres-mort-parapentiste-il-sera-interdit-atterrir-au-sommet-du-mont-blanc-1692026.html
I totally agree. Even if, for what I've been told, the poor guy landed way down, on a very dangerous spot (his friends couldn't help him), and after few attemps (not succsseful) he has fallen in a crevasse. That same day there was another fatal accident: A speed flyer took off from the Aguille du midi...but didn't manage to open his wing. I'm not sure about the details, but that's what happened...there was not much fuss about it :-( I think what really has pissed off the authorities were the videos/photos of people in shorts and flip flops...way too much "show off" from the reality, and danger, of the situation.
What worked to get back to the ground? The wind seems to push you further up the hill with significant force and turbulences. Did you use the speed bar? Change your direction ? Use big ears ? Land near the launch or higher ? I suppose ears could be of use to have a stronger glider (more resistant to collapse) and reduce portance to get down. But it increase drag and with such wind you cannot even move forward with a B+ wing ; thus i suppose ears + speed bar if not too turbulent. What did you do?
Fortunately there was lift, and higher, a bit less wind. As you mentioned, I spent half hour on full speed bar and big ears...not funny at all, due to the turbulence. Managed to loose 1400 m. to land in the valley.
what a awesome flight! I will make a chance to fly at Chamonix next year. Please let me know which season is the best for thermal flight.
I'd say June...I didn't fly that much in Chamonix, but best flights I had were in June (second half...)
Thanks to you we have a new airpace... shame on you!
Some good stuff, but slightly disappointed that you did not topland les Drus.
:-)
what is the name of peak on 7:28?
Should be... Aiguille de Blaitière
so cool! I loved it!
Faster than Kilian Jornet :) Great Video
Wow what a awesome flight!
